Most hotel revenue management firms are built around either a software product or a call center. Barnhill is built around a single conviction: the right person, on your hotel, every day, reporting against the comp set you actually compete with.

The firm in one paragraph

Barnhill Revenue Services is an independent hotel revenue management firm headquartered in Houston, Texas. We serve hotel owners across the United States — branded and independent, single-property and portfolio — through three retainer tiers and a small set of fixed-fee consulting projects. Every engagement is run by a named, dedicated strategist. Performance is reported monthly against the STR competitive set you select with us during onboarding.

Why we exist

Hotel ownership in the United States is fragmented. The vast majority of properties are owned by independent operators, family offices, or small portfolio companies — not the brand systems whose flags they fly. Those owners have access to two kinds of revenue management:

  • The brand’s own revenue manager, who optimizes brand-wide metrics and works for the franchisor.
  • An outsourced revenue management firm whose business model rewards adding hotels to existing strategists’ queues, not making each hotel measurably better.

Barnhill is the third option. Owner-aligned. One strategist per hotel. Measured against the index you care about.

How we are structured

The firm operates on a strict ratio: no strategist manages more than five Premier engagements or three Signature engagements at one time. When the ratio is full, the firm closes new engagement at that tier until another strategist is fully ramped. That is not a marketing claim — it is the operational constraint that protects the quality of every existing engagement.

Headquarters: Houston, Texas. Strategists in Dallas, Austin, New Orleans, Nashville, and Phoenix. We serve owners in 17 U.S. states as of May 2026. Weekly cadence runs remotely; quarterly on-property visits are included at the Signature tier.

Travonne Barnhill founded Barnhill Revenue Services after a career inside the brand revenue programs at three major flag families, where the same pattern repeated across hundreds of properties: independent ownership groups paying brand and corporate fees, executing brand-required programs, and never receiving an honest accounting of what those programs had actually done for their RevPAR Index.

Travonne built Barnhill to do the opposite. The firm sells nothing but its own time and judgment. The retainer is flat, the reporting is comp-set indexed, and the strategist is named on the engagement letter.
